I spent a few days at Lake Nacimiento with my family this past summer, and it was quite a fun trip. I was able to go for a few tubing runs during the trip, and the rest of my family enjoyed their preferred watersports, such as skiing and wakeboarding. The lake is of a good size and lesser popularity so that there is rarely a time at which it cannot be used (and at times when it can't be used, the solution is to put someone on a tube and see how long they can survive the meter-high bounces from the wakes of other boats).

Considering I've been to Lake Nacimiento a few times, the whole experience was quite fun, and perhaps the best part was bringing my camera to document it all. Glassy water, green mountains, fresh air, wonderful people, a silent surrounding where deer can still be found bounding around, and a brilliant sun to light it all. Picturesque.
