Lake Louise Ski Area Banff Reviews
GREAT area. LOTS of runs, and the good kind!:) Sep 16, 2008
Lake Louise is probably my favorite ski area in the Banff/Lake Louise area. Hundreds of runs, fast lifts (many of which are quads) and good chalet.
To get here from Calgary is about 1 hour and 45 minutes, so leave early! From Banff, it is under 30 minutes. Lift tickets are damn pricey per day, but get cheaper for multiday or multihill passes.
For park riders, Lake Louise has a GREAT set up that you're sure to love. Competition pipe, huge tables under the lifts for all to see and many rails and other boxes and park set up.
The area basically has 3 mountain sides to ride (the front at entrance, the back of that, and one side of the hill across the way) Great backcountry, which may be a good option as the lifts are usually a long wait to get on.
Has a bunny hill/area for kids too. Lodge has microwaves to heat up food, or you can buy it there (expensive). There is another lodge in the valley between the two hills, which is usually less busy.
