A quiet, rural town in California, situated between Sequoia National Park and Death Valley. Very dark at night, can see all the stars. A nice town between lake and desert.

When we left Sequoia, our goal was to get as close as we could to our next days destination, Death Valley.  We got as far as Lake Isabella.  We found a KOA that was pretty much empty...in fact, the manager was a little surprised to see us pull in at night, loking for a campsite!  Not that he didn't have customers, this campground was also the local bar!  The camp office was right next to the bar, and the manager was also the bartender.
