Lake Arrowhead Vacation Guide
I was raised here and I recently moved off of the mountain. It is a small town in every sense of the word. Everyone knows each other! It was a great place to be raised and is also great to visit. But, it can be a bit boring, as there is not much to do. Usually though, that is why people come for a visit. We call all tourists \'flat landers\'. Now this is not meant to be mean, it is just a way to determine who people are. We can usually tell who flat landers are by, bad driving on the mountian roads (slow), attire (over dressed for a semi cold day), and by the playing in dirty nasty snow (just because it is snow... ha ha). Now don\'t get me wrong, we love that visitors come to see the beauty! If you want to go bowling and swim in a lake, make your way to Crestline. Lake Gregory is there and I believe it has a fee to get in. The only movie theater is in Blue Jay (four screens). There are many trails around for hiking. Grocery shopping is easy, you either go to Jensen\'s in Blue Jay (slightly overpriced, but home to only Starbucks), or to Stater Brothers is Lake Arrowhead. If you want to go skiing, snowboarding, or innertubing, make your way to Running Springs \'Snow Valley\' (or continue on the 18 to Snow Summit in Big Bear).
There are things to do, you just have to find them. If you do not feel like going out, sit outside and enjoy the sunshine!!

I visited Lake Arrowhead in the summer of 2007. The drive from Culver City, LA to Lake Arrowhead was 3 hours. The drive was amazing. The turns were steep and winding. Unfortunately I do not have picture to show you the mountains!
