Old (and I mean old) standard in Princeton Sep 14, 2011
Lahiere's has been in Princeton for almost 90 years now. Can you imagine the history of famous people that have eaten here? Einstein was a regular. He sat an awkward table for two that is up against a jamb. The table is rarely used unless the place is booked, but his picture hangs above it on the narrow end of the wall. This restaurant was family owned and passed down for several generations until recently. The new owner has brought some life back to the tired menu. While I still tend to think of Lahiere's as a French restaurant, it is really more like New American. Don't expect to see classic French dishes, but the food is good. This place is a favorite of the president of my company and he loves to take us there after doing business in Princeton. I don't mind making it home late on those nights at all!

***UPDATE*** Unfortunately Lahiere's is now closed after a very long run. You will be missed.
