This morning, Joyce had her lesson through the Nancy Emerson Surf School with Sharky. Private lessons cost $150 for 2 hours, but they give you a little more time, and provide all the gear. Sharky was apparently amazing, teaching Joyce not only how to get on a board, but what to watch for, corrected…

Okay, so I am typing this the day I am leaving, and I would really rather by down on the beach for my last few hours than doing this, so i will probably finish the updates tomorrow when I am back on the mainland. I don't really have pictures of this day anyway, since they were taken on an underwate…

Maui is small, yet diverse. Here you'll find dry areas similar to the Southwest USA, but you'll also find jungles like the ones in Central America. Throw in some alpine forests, blowholes, a couple of volcanoes, and loads of world-class beaches, and you'll have barely scratched the surface of all the wonders Maui has to offer.

My close friend and I went to Maui last January...it was supposed to be my birthday relaxation. The island was so beautiful, we even went snorkeling, whale watching, swam at the big beach and went to all the beaches in Lahaina. We also went swimming and hiking in Lanai Island. Here are some pictures I want you to see...enjoy!

The most challenging part of moving to Hawaii from New York was finding a place to live. The Big Island was so spread out if would neccesitate having a car. Kuau'i gave my the creeps, and there wasn't nearly enough semblance of metropolitan society there (What can I say, we were coming from NYC, …
