A masterpiece of architecture Jan 31, 2009
Designed by Canario César Manrique, the watery playground of Lago Martiánez, northeast of the centre, has four saltwater pools and a large central 'lake'. It can get just as crowded as the surrounding small volcanic beaches. Swim, sunbathe or grab a bite at one of the many restaurants and bars. There's a glittery new casino here, as well.

The pool is open every day of the week, if the weather is good. Entrance costs 3.50 euros for adults and 1.20 euros for children up to 10 years, including the use of sun beds, changing rooms and showers; sun umbrellas cost 1.50 euros.

Jacuzzi (32º C): 1 €

There are special discount vouchers for 15 and 30 days.

Entrance to the pools is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
