Labadoozee here... Mar 11, 2011
If you ever take a cruise down to the Caribbean and it stops in Labadee,Haiti, make sure you do some of their excursions and explore the beauty it has to offer.

Although I work for a cruise ship company, and we visit this island every week, people might not be aware of how pretty and pristine it is. So here is a little insight about the paradise I work in.

It is Royal Caribbean International;s private island. There you will find, beautiful beaches,

surrounded by mountain slopes and great foliage. Amazing water activities for all ages. The Aqua Park for the kids as well as adults. The canoe trips, para sailing , coaster ride and even taking a glide on the longest zip line above water in the world would be the highlight of your trip.

Labadee's native charm, along with its natural beauty, make this a destination not to be missed.

The Haitian natives display their craftsmanship in the market, where you will find a variety of things to bring back home and show off to your friends. Paintings, pottery, jewelery etc.

So next time you book a cruise, remember to check if it stops in Labadee, and make sure you taste their delicious Labadoozee frozen drinks.

RCCL to Labadee, Haiti Jul 11, 2010
Loved our port stop in Labadee, Haiti with RCCL. The beach selections were absolutely gorgeous, the activities were wonderful and fun. Our family did the zip line, the Dragon's Breath Roller Coaster, the jet skis, and the excursion to Paradise Cove was the cherry on the cake!

Paradise Cove was absolutely beautiful. We skipped the educational part of the Cove because we had heard basically the same information in Dominican Republic. We didn't regret it for one second because the beautiful beach was practically all ours.

RCCL had a "regular" shopping center where the locals were not aggressive and were very pleasant and friendly. There was a strip of shops near the fence who were a bit "energetic" for us to buy things in their shops but nothing that made us uncomfortable.

We didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted - like serious shopping - but we loved this place.

We wish we could visit Labadee for a few days instead of a few hours. Absolutely loved Labadee.

private beach, labadee, haiti Dec 19, 2005
Caribean Cruise has a private beach resort called labadee. It's well maintained and there are enough activities for a whole day (Be warned: you have to pay for everything). It has white beaches, palm trees and pushy salesman :). It's a damn waste that a civiel war on the island is going on. I believe it's a beautiful island.
