La Villa Restaurant & Bar San Diego Reviews
rustic contemporary farm-to-table cuisine Apr 17, 2013
Great spot in Little Italy. You will notice from the street that it's outdoor area is what makes it look so inviting!
This place is very laid back and mellow, great for a more upscale date night without too much fuss. The decor is awesome. People walking by kept staring into the window because of the huge picture frame suspended from the ceiling, turning the people eating at the table behind it into part of the decor.
The food was well-executed, and the menu refreshing with variety of dishes including a nice choice of vegetable sides - which I adore. I love the flexibility of having interesting and vegetable based sides to supplement the starter options.
Wonderful service, they are attentive without being intrusive. We did have an excellent dinner experience.
The oysters were fresh and slurpable.
The cauliflower soup was delicious. Chicken fettucine - great pasta topped with fava beans, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, tender chicken, and cheese.
