It has a limited number of rooms (one of which has no architectural barriers and has been specially designed for the handicapped), all furnished with total elegance and equipped with every comfort: air conditioning, fridge-bar, satellite tv, shower with hydro-massage, safe, hair dryer and electronically operated window blinds. Visitors can also relax in the elegant lounge equipped with a bar, and where breakfast is served, as well as a magnificent sun terrace, with deck chairs and shower. From the terrace one can sip an aperitif and at the same time drink in the enchanting sunsets of this unique panorama offered by the Cinque Terre. Monterosso al Mare Monterosso al Mare is the westernmost of the Cinque Terre and is reached by walking along the most difficult part of the 'Sentiero Azzurro' footpath. The medieval tower 'Aurora', located on the hills of the Cappuccini, separates the ancient part of the village from the more modern part. In the church of Saint Francis 'San Francesco' works of great importance such as the Crucifixion, believed by many to have been painted by Van Dyck, are preserved.
