La Vieille Demure is situated in one of the most picturesque small cities in Belgium; Durbuy.
We didn't feel real hunger but was just looking for a place to get a salad and something to drink. From outside the cafe looked cosy and beautiful like all other houses in Durbuy. Inside they had kept the old traditional style from the Ardennes region; stone on the floor and wooden benches. Most of the people in the place knew each other and it was like a big family reunion. We both took an Ardennes Salad, which consists of local ham, egg and salad. The salad was good but not something to write home about. The people working there were nice but they were more interested in their family visiting.
