What You Get Is What You Pay ... Expensive But Fun Dec 13, 2014
La Tinidad Strawberry Farm is outskirt of the city but still it is one of the most interesting activities one must experience while in Baguio. I found it interesting in the sense that the visitor needed to experience the actual hands-on harvesting of strawberry fruits in order for him to have them. And that he has to pay for whatever he picked. Only downturn is thae the overpricing of the produce. They sold it there for PHP 500 per kilo whereas the price in the market ranges from PHP 120-180 only. Well I am not questioning their practice, they have the own reason maybe. Anyway, it’s not the price that counts, but the experience.
It is not only the harvesting that was there. There were also souvenir shops opposite the strawberry field. Many different products were being sold. The wine and ice cream made from strawberries were really good. And btw, be there early in the morning, otherwise you will find a hard time waiting for your chance to get in.
It’s a fun experience indeed!
