La Torre Di Alice Bosa Reviews
Cute renovated tower with edgy rooms Jul 05, 2010
I was really excited to stay here: a renovated medieval tower with rooms on each level. The rooms online and reviews were great.
The location is very good: on the edge of the old town on a tiny piazza, a few min walk up the stairs to the castle and 2 min walk to the river. You can also park easily on the edge of the old town and walk in.
The service was very sweet and accomodating with Marco and Alice a sweet couple who make you feel very at home. Marco speaks a tiny bit of english but really the communication was quite comical, involving google!
The room was compact, clean and cute but a bit disappointing (we poked our head into the rooms overlooking the courtyard which were much nicer). Make sure you ask for a room at the front! Our room was very new and tastefully decorated. The main problem is that the air conditioning didn't work during the night and we had to leave the window open meaning mosquito bites!!
Also, the water didn't work overnight!! I was sooo thirsty (due to heat from no aircon and too much wine) and couldn't get back to sleep because I was so thirsty!
The bathroom was also new and clean, very nice other than the water issue and a "trick" when you flushed the toilet.
You can help yourself anytime to the beautiful country kitchen for coffee / tea etc and the breakfast served there was delightful. Traditional Sardinian with coffee and sweet biscuits, mostly involving nutella, mmmm!
The hotel concept really was a delight, the decor was very tasteful and cute. Inspires you to move to Bosa and renevate your very own kind! Just disappointing that it fell down on basics like no water or broken aircon! The room was 70€ which was OK but not amazing value (but Sardinia...)
