La Terraza Managua Reviews
Great Peruvian Food in Managua Apr 24, 2009
La Terraza is a Peruvian restaurant in Managua, Nicaragua. It is on a nice tree lined side street and has a nice pleasant open on one side to the street feel. We had walked by earlier and noticed that the menu looked good with lots of choices so we decided it was the place to go.
There were not that many people in the restaurant just a couple groups of locals getting together with friends. One of the groups of locals was having a skewer of chicken hearts.
We got a nice apetizer of ground and fried potato stuffed with ground meat. For Dinner I got sirloin steak (lomito) cut into strips with tomato, green pepper and what looks a lot like french fries (all mixed together) and nicely seasoned. It was very good. Julie got a sirloin steak that was a lot like chicken fried steak. That turned out to be good but not what she was expecting.
We got a nice chocolate cake for desert. Also very good.
I would recommend going there. The food felt authentico to my North American palate. We paid about $40 (american) for a nice meal with a few local beers, an apetizer and a desert which was about mid range and not too bad, the service was good and the atmosphere was relaxed.
