UNlimited Spareribs! Mar 31, 2010
OH MY! This is the BEST place I'd ever had spareribs. I WANT TO GO BACK THERE (when I visit the Netherlands again)! Anyone visiting the Netherlands, I will definitely recommend this place to them.

About the place...

The furnishing is woody-like as you could see the structure of the ceiling and the furniture. It is quite a dim-lit place. Be ready as this place gets REALLY REALLY jam packed and noisy EVERY EVENING. It could fit most likely 70-80 pax. Full house. Don't bother to come in the day, they don't open...

The Spareribs...

Their spareribs are sooo tender and mouthwatering. If someone (a big eater...) whose appetite is great and loves spareribs; definitely one spareribs or two will not be enough! This place has unlimited amount as in free flow. When you make an order, do tell them that you want the unlimited spareribs. I forgot to mention, it comes with salad and fries too!

The Service...

You will see MANY 'meisjes' as in young ladies around being the servers. Some really alert and good ones and some well, still in dreamland. Anyway, don't bother making a call for reservations. You still have to wait! The best thing you could do is just camp outside until they open.

Skip meals for what is worth later...

Whatever it is, I would recommend you to skip all your meals and drive down to Leerdam and eat this. Well...ignore being sinful and unhealthy for just this day. You can do so the next day (eat healthily).

I know these people used two cooking methods to cook the spareribs. I'm not going to tell how they did them hehehehe...and no, they didn't teach or tell me (I just watch/see for myself). The griddle is opened-air so actually you could see the cook grilling the ribs.

The next time I'm going there, it has to be EARLY or else, the trip will go to a waste. NOT! There's the UNlimited take away too! Fret not, needn't be frustrated if you couldn't get a seat, at least you could bring home those succulent spareribs. Once you have tried it, I guarantee you that you will most likely crawl back for more. I know I might have exaggerated it (maybe) but it really is worth it. Try it and see it for yourself ;)

Whatever the distance; the food is worth travelling for!
