La Sûre Rivière Reviews
La Sûre Rivière Aug 09, 2011
La Sûre Rivière in French or die Sauer in German is a river that forms the natural boundary between the commune of la petite suisse luxembourgeoise (müllerthal) and the bundesland of rheinland pfalz in germany.
the river is a natural attraction itself, it runs along the luxembourger schweiz (little switzerland) part of luxembourg with sandstone cliffs, hills and forest thats perfect for hiking and on the banks of the river are camping places which you can camp while hiking the nature around the area.
the river originates from the ardenne in belgium and runs along between luxembourg and germany that creates its natural boundary and finally merging with a larger river - la moselle.
the very peculiar thing here is that the river is very narrow and once you stand either between germany or luxembourg - its almost hard to believe that either the other side is a different country.
in the side of luxembourg - aside from camping - there are also some recreational parks and picnic groves. you can also rent a boat and fish on the river.
