Tonight I´m setting out again, pushing further up this ribbon of a country towards Peru. When I was planning my trip, Chile was going to be something to get through asap, but I´ve grown to rather like it.
The lack of the colour green was a little unsettling at first, but the crazy colour and vi…

Knowing that we had an 8-hour coach journey north on Friday and had to be up and ready by 7am meant that I spent Thursday evening in the only sensible manner, by getting drunk in a Bellavista nightclub and getting to know some of the others in the group until 5am. So I was straight back t…

Via Antofagasta, …

We started our 3 weeks trip with a 27 hour bus trip from Santiago to Arica. From there, we took a private tour to the National Park Lauca & N.P de la Vicuna's, down to Iquique. After visiting the port of Antofagasta, we headed for San Pedro de Atacama and visited the famous Valle de la Luna and Tatio Geysers. In our last week we headed back via La Serena to Santiago.

Chilean airlines treat you much better than USA airlines. They serve a small meal even on a 45 minute flight! I feel much better taken care of. Today we are going to Mendoza to go to the PASI workshop. I liked La Serena, so perhaps I will return someday. I'm feeling ve…
