La Quinta Inn Eagle Pass

This place has to be a joke. I kept looking for Candid Camera to jump out. The website said check in was 1pm, the sign at front desk read 3pm and the front desk told us we could check in at 4:30pm. The carpet was a sight to be seen, the bathroom was a germ bonanza and the overall feel to the hotel (or should i say motor lodge) was filth. We were in the room a minimal amount of time thankfully, but I would definitely NOT reccomend anyone to stay here. The front desk staff is borderline retarded and could not answer a simple question as to wether or not any of the rooms were connected. I understand this is a border town and filled with uneducated hethens, but come on!!

This hotel is really well setup! With a simple building place setup around a prime and easily accessible area. Near a restaurant, you don't get all the proximity noise from buildings being so close to each other and having other guest coming in and out. The restaurant located just across the street in front has a wonderful 24 hour setup all morning and all night if you need it. The hotel staff are local friendly people.

Parking is fairly ample, even for all of the local trucking business and other recreational campers and other vehicles. This hotel is located on the intersection of Hwy 83 and the Loop., but only really experiences mild traffic during the peak work/school traffic up and down the road.

I've stayed in the hotel only on a single occasion, and enjoyed my stay! I recommend to anyone looking for a quality, familiar, hotel!

Eagle Pass may not be a big city, but it's on it's way bustling out of it's "small town" status. It's got all the amenities for your travels through South Texas.
