La Pirata restaurant

I was very impressed with decor and menu of La Pirata. Located upstairs in the nicest building on Utila, this romantic getaway was perfect for my wife of thirty years.After climbing these stairs we waited two minutes for our pretty waitress to take our order (which is pretty fast by local standards). My wife enjoyed the seafood pasta and calamari, fantastic. For my taste, I really needed a T-bone, of which I glad I did. Thick and cooked the way I wanted it to be. That steak reminded me of a favorite name brand steak house in Beaumont, Texas. However La Pirata is not in Texas but cooked that steak to perfection as one can get. Who needs Texas when down home cooking in now in Utila,Honduras. We had a very romantic dining experience and enjoyed the flavors of La Pirata restaurant,Utila. La Pirata restaurant also has the best stocked bar which is always a traveler's friend in a third world country.
