La Muzelle Les Deux Alpes Reviews
Buffet-style hotel's restaurant offering on top of that local specialities Aug 08, 2009
When we entered the restaurant featuring two large diningrooms and a panoramic terrace facing south before 1950,it was almost already full with families with children and young starving people. As the very pleasant staff was very pofessional,we got quickly our sparkling water and a bottle of fruity Red Côtes de Provence.
Like most of the people,we were on half-board and the food was served buffet-style except the main course(several choices) brought to the table. But with small additional charges, one can get local specialities like fondues, raclettes and grill-stone tableside cooking.
The 2 large thermed buffets were basic but offering all that people need.
My sister had a fish and as sidedish,a ratatouille niçoise(a stewed vegetable dish with eggplant,tomatoes,garlic,onions,peppers,zucchini..)
I had a tasty pork saltimbocca(a dish made of veal, chicken or pork topped with prosciutto) and ratatouille with gratin dauphinois(a local dish with sliced and layered potatoes and cream).
If The Muzelle doen't offer great cuisine,we finally had a suitable and cheap dinner !
