La Maison des Crëpes

La Maison des Crëpes is a nice and cozy lunch and light meal restaurant in the heart of Bruxelles only a stone throw from the Bourse and 200 meters from Grand Place towards the Moroccan area along Avenue Anspach.

As its name suggests it is a place that bases itself on crëpes; either as main meal or a desert. They have a quite large menu and there are a fantastic variety of choices to pick from. I took the chefs suggestion and it was just wonderful.

The place is usually packed around lunchtime but if your timing is correct you will manage to get a table. Inside it is very cosy with small tables and wooden chairs. There is a small counter where they produce a wonderful coffee as well; and behind it you have a small glass kitchen elevator where the food comes up from the kitchen in the basement. It is kind of funny to see you dish appear there.

The waitress was sweet and very kind and mastered a good service for all of in the packed and small place. It was truly a pleasure, and especially to finish with a Crëpe Suzette that tasted like it should.
