TASTY AND AFFORDABLE BEACHFRONT RESTAURANT Dec 13, 2010
As typical French always bellyaching,we had been in Summer several times disappointed by this restaurant few years ago but last weekend we had two nice dinners.
On the first night we had the 30 euro menu of the day with a mise en bouche,nicely cooked gambas in their bisque,monkfish fricassée with chanterelles,an average cheese and a GREAT too large! truffled chocolate cake with vanilla icecream all washed with a white Collioure wine from the Domaine du Mas Blanc.
Our second dinner was also nice:courgettes en velouté et en brunoise topped by a white of monkfish,white of cod with a persillade sauce"comme autrefois" and a true rum baba for my wife(25 euro).
I had a curious mix of well-cooked scallops and black blood sausage,delicious stewed pork feet with scampi and a cake with fruits and red fruits ice-cream(33 euro).
The service was perfect!
