Must do "Aperitivo" in Milano May 04, 2011
If you're ever in Milano, it's an absolute must to try Aperitivo. My first meal in Milan was of course a quick trip into Mcdonald's. Not a brilliant choice at all. A 6 piece Mcnugget meal was € 6, 50 which by american standards is quite expensive. Milan in general is an expensive city thus all the more reason to check out an aperitivo bar.

Aperitivo, is a dream come true and is the beloved Milanese tradition of pre-dinner drinks accompanied by complimentary stuzzichini, or appetizers. Derived from the Latin aperitivus, to open, aperitivo is meant to stimulate the appetite and tease the taste buds, previewing the delights of dinner. Spreads can range from modest olives, cheeses and potato chips to awe-inspiring pastas, pizza, bruschetta, meats, sautéed vegetables and fruit salads. Drinks come with unlimited admission to the food bar. The aperitivo starts at 6 or 7 p.m., and lasts until 9 or 10. Buy ONE drink—alcoholic or not— for 8€ and its ALL YOU CAN EAT and your ticket to the best-kept secret in Italy.

La Hora Feliz not only has probably one of the best food selections but it also has a fun and lively atmosphere. Its popular amongst locals and tourists alike. This place actually gives you an option to get the regular sized cocktail for € 8 and of course, the food is ALL YOU CAN EAT or there's an XL sized drink for € 11 (I'd recommend going with the XL). A popular Italian cocktail would be "Negroni" which is gin, vermouth and campari usually with a slice of orange as a garnish.

La Hora Feliz, an XL Negroni and all you can eat Italian appetizers is a guaranteed good time!

good aperitif May 16, 2011
Bar centrally located, on the way from Duomo to Navigli district, and very close to San Lorenzo area.

They offer a good aperitif (this mean food from a buffet, for free if you just buy a drink) every day, starting from 19h till 21.20h more or less.

Good cocktails and gentle workers.
