La Hacienda Orick Reviews
Mexican Restaurant : Orick California on North Highway 101 Apr 05, 2008
David and I stopped in at this tiny restaurant on our way to Oregon. It is an older place and it's not very fancy. The menu had the usual enchiladas, tacos, burritos, tostadas and fajitas. It is a family run Mexican restaurant. We were seated by a nice waitress who gove us corn tortilla chips. She directed us to a large case and we found three kinds of salsa: mild tomato, hot tomato and mild green salsa. The salsas were excellent and made fresh every morning.
We ordered Mexican Hot Chocolate to drink.... excellent.. I ordered Beef Fajita and David ordered a Shrimp Fajita. Although it was presented different than usual they were very good. David got 12 good sized shrimp. (enough to share..hooray). David ordered flour tortillas and I ordered corn. The waitress said the corn are made fresh every day. David just about died as he had ordered flour... The cook came out twice to see how our meal was... he was pleased that we liked it and brought new corn tortillas for me. They were complimentary.
All in all we had a great meal. We loved that it was family run and primary ingredients were fresh made. This is a tiny place but we feel it would be worth the stop.
