Rue Mercière 45, Lyon, France
La Facade Lyon Reviews
La Facade Dec 05, 2009
After walking yet some hours we found ourselves looking for a place to get some heat back in to our systems. We were walking down the busy Rue Mercière, where there are a large number of bars and restaurants.
We were not interested in eating because we had our dinner planed in a small place further down the road that we saw earlier the same day. Most of the places we walked by had switched from bars, cafés to restaurants during the evening so we let them be.
We stopped outside La Facade because it purely was a bar. Once inside I quite liked the place; it was a mix of an ordinary bar, a lounge bar and a night club even though it was pretty small. The waiter was a fresh guy and I went for a glass of champagne; the house champagne that day was a Munn and the same one as Bocuse the day before.
The bar was pretty full but it was also a busy weekend for the whole city. We sat down in the low but comfy chairs and enjoyed the music and the fact that we could feel our fingers and toes again.
The clientele this evening was a mix of people and I guess that other had walked in to the place for the same reason as use.
