A Local Classic at an Affordable Price Dec 06, 2010
La Comedia is a bar/nightclub located near the Plaza de Toros in Jerez, Spain. Entrance is free and the dress code is pretty lax. It hosts two salas as well as a patio. One sala for dancing and another for lounging, equipped with pool and foosball (table soccer) tables. Both salas are equipped with bars and connected with an outside patio where most nights you can find a hot dog stand. Although prices for cubatas (mixed drinks) are the same in both salas, beers are cheaper in the lounge sala than in the dance sala because they are poured from tap versus coming in bottles. The atmosphere of this establishment is pretty relaxed and you can be sure to find a plethora of different types of people ranging from preps to hippies. La Comedia is well-known locally and many people, ranging in age from 17-30, go there on weekends to meet up with friends and enjoy a few drinks.

Although this club isn't the most glamorous or cleanest of clubs, i would recommend it if you are interested in an inexpensive night out and are looking to mingle and integrate yourself with local people.
