La Casona Puno Reviews
Big, spacious, airy and friendly - hard to believe this is in the city centre! Dec 03, 2013
This restaurant feels more than a restaurant in a Peruvian city centre. Most of them are tiny, with tables about 2 feet apart and more often than not, you're bumping into someone from the other table.
This restaurant has a small door so you're wondering how much smaller will it be on the inside. Well, it's not. The restaurant stretches for the good part of the building, it's got tables lined up by the curtain windows, the main aisles and there are the family/banquet kind of tables at the back. There's a very neatly appointed bar that's got the whole modern techno colour thing going on. And strangely enough, the walls have several irons and sewing machines on display!
Coming to the service - very friendly and very efficient. Plus all staff speak English. The food was reasonably good as well.
Downsides - very expensive. To be honest, you don't really need this kind of 'experience', there are several cheaper restaurants down the road. But, if what you like is a comfy pampered experience after a hard day in the sun, then this place is for you.
