La Cabana Las Lilas
La Cabana Las Lilas Reviews
Cabana Las Lilas Apr 24, 2009
A little touristy, but if you are a tourist it is a great place to go. You will definitely want to eat outdoors so you can see the boats on the harbor. It is located in the Puerto Madero area. We both had the tenderloin and words can't describe how good it was. Argentina red meat definitely lived up to its reputatin. The service was very attentive and some of the best we had on our trip. For wine, we had a bottle of the Santa Ercilia (a Malbec). Very good.

Delicious Parrilla in Buenos Aires May 24, 2008
A friend from Buenos Aires who lives far away now, highly recommended me to have dinner there and he wasn’t wrong at all. Widely considered the best parrilla in Buenos Aires, Cabaña las Lilas is always packed. It’s popular with tourists and businessmen alike, the restaurant is decked out in rustic wood and leather, but is a distinctly upmarket take on the national cuisine. The decoration is a plain country style. It’s located in the rejuvenated Puerto Madero docklands area.
Well, prices are higher than in the more neighborhood’s parrillas. But if you’re a fan of a fine, juicy cut of steak, you can do no better than stop here. The table "cover" includes dried tomatoes, mozzarella, eggplant, carpaccio, olives, and delicious different kind of breads. If you are here, you’d order steak. Clearly, you're here to order steak, which comes direct from the restaurant's private estancia (ranch). The had bred their own cattle for more than 70 years. All the cuts are delicious. As side order sautéed vegetables, salad, grilled onions or fries. The service is great. There are a lot of people taking care of the customers. You can also ask the waiter to match a fine Argentinean wine with your meal. The variety of the offered wine is enormous. The indoors and outdoors are very nice and despite of the high price, the restaurant is casual and informal. I was forgetting, I heard the Tiramisu is really tasty. I was too full I wasn't able to try it, but I'll come back ;) Definitely my friend was right. This place is THE place for Parrillas in Buenos Aires. Thanks Fed! The best meals I have ever eaten (and probably ever will), have come from Cabana Las Lilas. From the pan de queijo (cheese bread) to the filet mignon which should be ordered seared (it is sushi-grade, if such grades were assigned to land animals) and the malbec (local red wine) to the flourless chocolate torte (which they will serve with dulce de leche (Argentinean caramel) sauce if you ask, so don't be shy!), this place has food so good you could order the same thing every day for weeks on end and never get bored. As if that is not enough, it is located on the wharf with beautiful waterfront views. Spectacular!
