La Burger San Miguel de Allende Reviews
Chilean-style grill Apr 22, 2011
A Chilean expatriate decided to open a grill in Mexico serving burgers and steaks. It's a very simple menu done well. Steaks and burgers cooked over a mesquite fire right in the dining room.
We all ordered mini burgers (100 grams) and were very full. The normal burger is 200 grams. They had a reasonable selection of Chilean and Argentinean wines. We had a malbec.
The servers wear army green shirts and camouflage aprons. I'm not sure what the significance of the uniform is but it's kinda cool. Some of the staff were Mexican (I think) but a lot appeared to be from South America. Our server was from Uruguay.
You have to drive to get to it as it's located along the side of the road outside of town. Pleasant shaded dining so don't be worried about being near the highway. It's worth the trip!
