La Bergerie - San Francisco - TravBuddy

This is my favorite French restaurant this side of the Atlantic Ocean! Whenever I go back to San Francisco, I always make a trip (sometimes multiple trips) to eat at La Bergerie! It is so, so good. I've lived in France for a little while so I am very picky when it comes to French food. I've had more than my share of overpriced cuisine that tries to pass itself off as being French here in the States. But La Bergerie has the most awesome meals for under $20!! My favorite is the filet mignon, yum, drool! The most tender pieces of beef I've ever had, consistently (which makes it that much rarer). I've brought many friends there to eat and every one of them has loved the restaurant (: The only catch is that the restaurant is not in downtown. So if you are staying in a hotel or hostel, you will likely need to take a cab or bus there if you don't have a car. But it's so worth it believe me!
