Great Spot! Dec 18, 2014
So this is my 3rd time in Barcelona. The past two times the stays were not quite long enough to what the city had to offer. Now, I've been here for a month and really not knowing when I'll be leaving. As it turns out Paul and his girlfriend Esther from the Netherlands decided to call a Travbuddy Meet Up. With me being in the city I took the opportunity to join and not knowing about this place L'Ovella Negra. Once arriving there I found the place very rustic and quite big. I did not find my fellow Travbuddies! The night was young but full of people. As I found the table, all got into place. Drinks here, drinks there, drinks everywhere! Little to know the atmosphere was getting quite larger and better by the minute! It seemed to be a weekend put together on a Monday. Hey it is Barcelona and not a bad way to start the week!
Travbuddy's exclusive table!
Paul and Esther, way to go! 2 thum…

L’Ovella Negra (close to La Ramblas) has THE BEST Sangrias in Barcelona hands-down. The place has a nice vibe to it and is a local hot spot, so you know it's good. Definitely a must-go.

The Black Sheep bar is a great place to meet up with a large group of friends or to make a large group of new friends. It is a beer hall styled in a traditional Catalan manner. It has been around for decades close to the Rambla and Plaza Cataluya. It has huge wood tables that seat no less than ten people – most of the time many more sharing each others lap. It has exposed stone walls and large wood supports so you feel you are in a barn or old farm house.

Take turns buying each other pitchers of beer or Sangria that cost only 7.00€ or 8.00€.

Jump in line at the back bar to pick up a T-shirt for your friends back home. The crowd is young but it is a beer hall so you should expect this kind of atmosphere. It is a good starting point for your night but you may find yourself there for hours once the laughter starts. -Rach

Please note that there are 2 locations. One in Raval close to Las Ramblas and one in Poble Nou, close to the Club Razzmatazz.

Also the bouncers can be ruff sometimes. I can not blame them as the crowed can get hard to handle as well.

Nice location, multi level layout, a couple of bars, pool tables, and a fun crowd!
