L'Oustaou Café Paris Reviews
Great music, can be cozy Nov 22, 2010
I went from empty place to empty place but I was also out quite early; it was just passed 7 pm and I was back in the city centre after a day at the exhibitions at Paris-Nord. I had dropped off my stuff in my hotel in Rue Richelieu and just wanted to check out the neighbourhood before finding a place to eat.
Café L'Oustaou was the second place I visited and it was situated next to my hotel. The place had been closed when I arrived Sunday evening; well actually almost everything had been closed on the Sunday when I walked the streets in the rain.
This was a bar rouge; the interior and the walls were all in red. There was a bar in the length of the room and Jimmy Hendrix was on the wall and the music playing was motown and soft soul from the Blaxploitation period. It was for sure a cozy place that needed a visit later this evening or another one.
