L'OUEST,one of the 5 Bocuse brasseries in Lyon; Oct 18, 2009
As Lyon is snoring on Sunday and most of the decent restaurants are closed, fortunately the Bocuse brasseries are opened for Sunday dinner.I have chosen L'Ouest because my wife didn't know this canteen located on the Saône riverside, far from the Presqu'île in the former industrial district of Vaise.0pened in 2003,the restaurant is immense but quiet with a large terrace, tall bay windows with a contemporary decor and aluminium tables and chairs under giant TV screens. The kitchen is entirely opened to view from the dining room.

Each Bocuse brasserie is more or less specialized in a different aspect of French cuisine:there one offers "islands cuisine"(Antilles) with Japanese,Italian,Spanish touch.

The gals had a salad as starter and fish, the guys a generous Serrano ham, then pasta:classic and decent food!

We drank 2 pots(46 cl)of Viognier and a coffee:(150 euro for the 4)
My daughter Bérengère,Peter,her …
