FINE DINING IN RECOLETA Dec 06, 2008
This is located in the recoleta area of BA. it is a $5 cab ride from our hotel near the obelisco on 9 de julio ave. this was suggested by one of the hurtegurten rep.
i ordered the Beef carpaccio with dijon mustard sauce, green leaves and arugula. which is very good and flavorful. the beef had a strong flavor. no need to add dressing. for the main course i ordered the Tenderloin medallion to the green pepper croute with corn flan. this was not bad. unfortunately, i had to return it twice because it was over cooked. i ordered it medium rare and it was well done. however it was very tender to cut.
i am spoiled to eat grass feed meat now. the flavor is quite strong. more of a gamy taste.
my mum and the others ordered, Arugula, tomatoes and bococcinos cheese, Grilled vegetables tower, spinach bouquet and our dressing, Chicken liver pate maison with toasted almonds and green leaves, Poached shrimps with hearts of palm, avocado and golf sauce, and Rack of lamb and his confit, mint and pistachio brunoise.
the service was excellent. the quality of food was excellent. there was nearby ice cream shops and chocolate bistro for dessert. you are in the middle of the shopping and restaurants.
we sat outside. i wanted to, to people watch. i would recommend coming here and eat outside in the patio,
