L'Image de Notre Dame

At the end of a long, small and narrow alley and very close to the Grand Place you can find this little bar if you are very lucky. Most of the way in to the bar, it looks like you are going to a dead end street full of blocked doors, but when you are almost at the end you will find the door and besides it you be able to hear Flemish music like the Germans sing it in Bavaria.

When you step in it feels like you entered a museum of a Flemish kitchen and living room from last century. If you once in a while like to enter a place that does not look mainstream and take you back in history, this is the place to be in the city centre of Brussels.

They have many good beers here and you will find a couple that are not of the regular beer list in this area. People are friendly here and in general in very good mood. If you enter a late Friday afternoon you will not be disappointed.
