L'Atelier du Cote Rhone Lyon Reviews
Strong good Absinthe - and friendly service Feb 20, 2014
We had closed the restaurant Chez Pierre being the last guests and we felt like a goodnight drink before we hit the bed. The area was pretty dead but not far from the hotel we found a restaurant/bar that was still open. L'Atelier du Cote Rhone was a very modern restaurant where all the tables were high on the ground floor and in normal height on first floor. The interior was quite nice, like in a nightclub with red and dark colors and an amazing ceiling that looked like you were under deck in a boat.
The place was not busy but there were one large table having loads of fun. We went to the bar and started with an Italian Peroni (3 euro), while we looked at the bar for goodies. I quickly spotted a bottle of absinthe and asked the bartender for a couple of those. He insisted that we tasted took the strong one that we hadn’t seen at first. He poured up a couple of large 66,6 proofs absinthes and we just had them straight with some ice. They tasted very well and we just emptied our glassed and went back to our hotel. It was a nice place and there was friendly service.
