Since LA is so huge, you should decide which sites you want to see
before you book hotels. If you want to be near downtown LA, Venice
Beach, and Santa Monica, I recommend La Hacienda. It's near LAX and
it's the nicest hotel you'll be able to find in that area if you're
traveling on a budget. I believe it's about $60 a night and you have to
call them in order to book a room.

If you want to go to Disneyland and see other places in Orange County,
find a hotel near Disneyland. They're abundant and cheap.
