LA Bar Copenhagen Reviews
The bar to go to, when you're a foreigner Dec 06, 2013
As you walk around in Copenhagen, there are tons of bars to enter. Just like the rest of the world, some bars are cheap, and some bars are… less cheap.
The main streets for bars are Gothersgade, Stroget, and tiny streets connected to Stroget (the main shopping street of Copenhagen).
LA Bar is not too cheap, and not too expensive (compared to some other bars). The atmosphere is ALWAYS good in there: you never hear about fights, drugs, and other inappropriate stuff. Just happy young people from all over the world, drinks, dancing and fun.
The bar consists of two floors, and it's open every day of the week. The other day it was super stormy all over Denmark, and yet people went in there, even though they risked their lives by walking in the streets. I think that describes the popularity of this bar, and obviously this is one of my personal favorites as well.
LA bar is also called the surfer bar, because the interior is like a beach house. Walls of wood, fancy chairs and palm leaves here and there.
But what is most important is probably the drinks. Going for shots? Get their tequila shots! Going for drinks? Get their Pina Colada! Or simply just get a beer to finish up a perfect day in Copenhagen :-) I'm pretty sure they sell beer for 20 DKK (around 3 USD) on Thursdays.
Definitely a bar worth visiting. Have fun in Copenhagen!
