L Hotel Causeway Bay Harbour V Reviews
Simply amazing suite Oct 31, 2008
We had a suite with a living room, 2 bathrooms, and a bedroom. It was the best hotel I've stayed in so far.
Room was tastefully designed- it resembled a posh designer apartment. There are lots of mirrors around for the vainpot in all of us, and windows were almost floor-to-ceiling, and very expansive, so u could see a beautiful city skyline of Tin Hau (where the hotel is located just opposite the metro). The two bathrooms were scrupulously clean, with a bathrobe, slippers, weighing scale (!), shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, body foam, shower caps, comb- everything u can think of, they have it. The bathtub was extremely cute, and the shower was excellent. Only grouse is the toilet- it has a main door, but your roommate can also see what u're doing from another side of the bedroom! i can't explain it- u've got to see it. Strictly for couples. The breakfast buffet was excellent, but not free and not cheap either. There was variety and it was delicious. When we were there, the bar was not yet opened, and it was wintertime so the outdoor swimming pool was closed. There was a gym, though. It was small but the machines were new and worked well. The hotel has a total of 40 storeys, though they skip the 4th and 14th storeys due to Chinese superstition that the number "4" carries bad luck. It's possible to take the lift until the 40th floor and then climb the stairs to reach the rooftop- an amazing and exhilarating moment whether u're alone, with a friend, or your partner. The facade of the hotel was so lovely that for we couldn't believe this was the hotel we were gonna stay at. It seemed like a block of private apartments, or some other designer stuff. Restaurants, McDonalds, metro, 7-11, etc, are all nearby, as well as the Tin Hau Temple. The temple is small and quiet but nice, worth a visit. Great hotel! |
