Kyriad Paris XV Brancion Porte de Versailles Reviews
Tiny is a theme here Mar 19, 2010
Close to my favourite baker in Paris (Max Poilane) and near Park George Brassens (locally known as 'Les Abatoirs' we found hotel Kyriad Brancion Porte de Versailles. If you want to stay on the outskirts of Paris, the laid back atmosphere of the 15th arrondisement might be just the thing. This hotel is also close to Paris Expo centre so, if you’re a sales rep or work in one of the stands, you can stay at this reasonably cheap hotel.
A warning is in place though. If you visit the hotel website, don't believe the photos they show you. Instead of the light and airy photos on display, the place is as dark as chocolate, but not in a good way. The hallways are painted in coffee stain tobacco smudge brown. Actually, walking in the corridor made me feel like I was playing a part in a horror movie, or a thriller at best. Sinister is the best way to describe the dark and moody atmosphere.
Once in my tiny noisy room (adjacent to the staircase), it didn't get much better. In general rooms in Paris are small, especially if you're looking round the 55 euros per night mark like I always do. But this hotel sure wins a prize for smallest rooms in Paris. I could not use the chair in the room, otherwise the door wouldn't open. The 'en suite' bathroom was a joke too. Tucked away in the broom closet was a toilet and shower. If I used the shower, it sprayed the toilet. If I sat on the toilet, the bathroom door couldn't close, unless of course I was willing to have knee surgery afterwards.
But dear reader, the worst is yet to come. The hotel generously offers 'elevator available' on their website. Well let me tell you; the 'elevator' is the size of an upright coffin and it sure feels like one when you're standing in it. Either your suitcase goes up or you do, but not both. Honestly, it is physically impossible to fit more than one person.
No parking was available, the free wifi didn't work when we were there. If you have read other hotel reviews by me, it's needless to say we didn't use the breakfast buffet. On a more positive note; the staff was friendly, speedy checking in and out and there is a night porter, which (or better yet, who) came in handy when we got back in the middle of the night after roaming the streets of Paris.
Location gets the full 5 dots only because it was the perfect location FOR US. The hotel is not conveniently situated near a metro stop. So, if you're visiting Paris for the first time and want to see all the sights, keep looking for a hotel closer to the centre.

Location is easy reachable by metro(5min walking to metro) but if u have heavy luggage would be difficult little bit. Good price i paid 99euro for 2 nights for 2 persons which is good especially for Paris:) the only thing i would say is bathroom is kind of small but it did not bother me at all..
