Kwang Fook Kong Temple Labuan Reviews
Colourful chinese temple Jun 08, 2011
Karena and I had an hour to spend before we would take the ferry to Brunei. So we decided to visit the Kwang Fook Kong Temple, which was located about 5 minutes from the ferry terminal.
Build in 1952 by chinese migrants, the Kwang Fook Kong Temple is the oldest temple on the island of Labuan. It's on the the Jalan Bunga Tanjung (street name).
The temple is pretty nice, although it could use a touch up here and there. Some of the furnaces had crack in them. The building itself looked like it had a recent repainting.
The inside of the temple has 1 large altar for praying, as well as a smaller altar on either side. There were also all kinds of drawings and paintings on the doors and walls, displaying stories and historic scenes.
If you have the time, it's worth your time to make a stop and have a look inside the Kwang Fook Kong Temple.
Part of the list What to see and do in Malaysia
