One hot day,  we decided we had enough of enough and wanted to go somewhere.  We hopped in a covoy to Camp Arifjan for the day.  It is great there,  at least for us that needed to go somewhere and do something.  We went swimming in the beautiful pool in Arifjan, and shopped…

Kuwait is an interesting Country, very conservative at the same time Beautiful in it's own way, There are no bars there so if you are planning to go clubbing it's not your place, but the country is not bad at all.

Enjoying my job! Detainee Operations in Iraq. It wasn't total enjoyment, but the comradary and the cohesiveness of our unit is something which I will never forget. There are days that go by now, that I really miss it over there, I do truly want to go back, but maybe next time to Afghanistan.

we moved around a lot within Kuwait till we got to our Camp out in the desert.  Besides the sand storms and the boredom everything was pretty much ok.  On Christmas Eve we crossed the line and for the next 12 months it was no looking back.

airport transit

Well, I can't say too much about Kuwait actually as this was just a transit in the airport. The airport itself had mediocre security (despite the heavily armed guards), but the facilities were nice (plenty of Wi-Fi networks floating about). From the tarmac (no jetways) you can get a good look at pa…
