You reach Kuranda by car, bus, skyrail or scenic train from Cairns.
Kuranda is a little village in the rainforest.
In Kuranda there are a lot of souvenir shops to visit at pace. So when you love go souvenir shopping, you will like it here! :) Lots of restaurants and bars as well.
You can also visit some nice art galleries... stunning! And there was one that had an photograph exhibition as well. The pictures were great.
There is an impressive butterfly sanctuary as well. Very beautiful butterflies you get to see. The Ulysses butterfly is so beautiful. The sanctuary is rather small.
There are some other places to visit where you can see some wildlife.

The township is perfect for a daytrip but much of the attractions close mid afternoon so arrive early!
