Kuźnia Smaku Restaurant Wroclaw Reviews
Nice ambiance, nice taste, not so nice texture Jul 13, 2014
I had dinner here with some friends who once lived in Wroclaw, and they used to eat here for a dinner to enjoy the ambiance back when they were students together. A little different they said, but not much had changed in the atmosphere. I thought the atmosphere was one of the better things about this restaurant. It is relaxed and casual.
I had the grilled pork tenderloin with wild mushrooms sauce served with herby potato and beetroot salad. The taste was good, but the texture not so good as I thought it was a bit overcooked (the pork and the potatoes). The beetroot salad was ok and overall an average meal - not great, but not terrible. I suspect the pork & potato were reheated to warm it up before serving it up with the mushroom sauce and beetroot salad - what a culinary shame!
My friends liked their meals and said the quality was perhaps not as good as they remembered, but admitted it was a long time ago since they had dined here. I wish I could have given it a higher rating because the taste was quite good, and the atmosphere very inviting, but I can tell fresh prepared from reheated. Why do restaurants do this - take the excellence in taste a chef has prepared fresh and ruin the texture with reheating?
