Tune hotel was a refreshing experience for me. It is a very convenient place to stay when you are stopping over before continuing with your journey elsewhere via KL. It is only a walking distance although I think taking the bus that cost only 1 ringgit malaysia (about 50 SGD) is a better option. On…

Haha, I've found an Internet spot already. Luckily, I didn't pay to use the Internet at Burger King, since I walked around the corner and found this Internet station that's free! At least, I think it's free... I can't see any coin slots anywhere.
This is just a short note to say that I'm i…

I spent the day just wandering around KL, thinking about how much the city has changed and how it has stayed the same. The
city has been cleaned up quite a lot over the years, especially since
the Commonwealth Games in 1998, yet you still smell something different
every few metres. And more ofte…

DAY 1
We had a long wait around today for our flight to KL from Tawau, so we checked out as late as we could and got in a mini bus to Tawau airport. We hoped that the airport wouldn’t be a tiny one with nothing to do, but it was and we were forced to play monopoly for ages. And I won of course.

For a quick, last-minute trip to Singapore's nothern neighbor, I'd say this one was definitely better than expected. Kuala Lumpur is the capital city of Malaysia, and is a bustling, albiet polluted, example of Southeast Asian development. I would say the place is more fun than Singapore, as there a…
