Kuala Belait is the biggest of the four districts in Brunei Darussalam. It is located about 1 hour and 30 minutes drive away from the capital Bandar Seri Begawan. The district is linked to the others by a major highway that stretches from each ends of Brunei.
Kuala Belait is the home of the country's major export - oil and gas. Due to this, you would find a lot of expats working in the oil and gas industry residing in the area.
Some of the main attractions of the district is the Billionth Barrel Monument, the Anduki Silver Jubilee Park, the Belait beach (the longest beach and magnificent beach in Brunei), the Oil and Gas Discovery Centre, Lumut Recreational Club and a lot more.
Kuala Belait is the main gateway to Miri city, Sarawak (Malaysia).
