I get to the entrance of the Kruger National Park and get ready to go in I ask how to buy an entrance ticket at the information desk and it turns out I don’t have to get one at the entrance because I am staying inside the park so I can get all the bureaucracy done when I get to my camp for th…

June 9th From Jo'berg, Kruger National Park was about a 7 hour drive. After we finally arrived and got settled into our hotel, several of us felt like venturing out into the woods. There were signs everywhere that said it was dangerous to leave the hotel grounds, but that did not stop us. We want…

The four of us landed in Jo'berg airport on the over-night from Heathrow. I'd had the pleasure of sitting next to Sean, a larger than average Irish guy who liked Guinness and possessed the ability to cock his head back 90 degrees and snore loudly at any opportunity. I didn't manage to get any sleep…

I just loved my trip I took here. Africa is the most amazing place on earth. I am really glad my friend Kellye had invited me to go with her and the other girls. Believe me, traveling with 6 girls is a very trying time and is not easy but we all made it work.
We started off our trip with a flight …

What and awesome trip! I highly recommend it. Johannesberg was OK, fairly typical city.
Cape Town was fantastic, visit the nearby beaches too! I went for a shark dive, but unfortunately there was a very bad accident that day(not with sharks), so I didn't get to go in the water, but I'd still recommend it.
The obligatory safari at Kruger was very cool, with an additional day and a half spent at the Mohlabetsi private reserve, an excellent lodge/reserve!

This summer, or winter, depending on which side of the world you're on, I'll be leaving from the summerish Netherlands, to winterish South-Africa. First 4 weeks of volunteering work in a great project, called Masigcine children's home. Than about 3 and a half weeks of traveling with some Italian guy I never met in real life before.
