Great Place To Stay Jul 04, 2010
Picked up on this hotel from delsol67's review on here, and emailed them to reserve a suite that would take the four of us. Although they took details of credit card for reservation, payment when we were there would have to be cash only, though either Euros or BAM were acceptable.

Set between the two bridges, the Stari Most ( old Bridge) and the Kriva Cuprija(Crooked Bridge). It was fairly easy to find after just following the signs for the old town from the bus station, though probably about a 20 minute walk.

Less than 5 minute walk to the Old Bridge, where there are plenty of restaurants around the streets on that side of the river. Just over the bridge you are into the main shopping area of the Old Town.

We arrived mid afternoon, and it was sweltering carrying the bags through town, and at reception before they even started to check us in they brough a tray with 4 glasses of ice cold orange juice.

A very small hotel, with just a dozen rooms and we were shown up to ours and it was really nice. Girl spent time to make sure we knew where everything was and how it worked 8).

Suite was all one room, but with a partition wall half way across it. Had a fridge :) and two TV's, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. It also had that other essential - air conditioning :)

Had a shared terrace outside the room, but nobody was in the next room so we had it all to ourselves, and it had a lovely view down over the Crooked Bridge to the mosque across the river.

Thay had asked us if we wanted to eat in the restaurant, and after a bit we decided we would and reserved a table for 8-30. Big mistake, even though the food was fantastic, it was ridiculously over priced.

We went for a traditional Bosnian meal, and the starter consisted of a plate of meats and cheeses along with small breads that tasted somewhere between a croisant and a donought. We then had two plates to share, one with meat and kebabs, the other with seafood and I even got the kids to eat the baby octupus :D.

The other three had a dessert as well and then the bill came :O Instead of being charged for the plates, it was charged for each item on the plates (x4). Way over the odds, particulalry when you are expecting Bosnia to be relatively cheap by European standards.

We went out for a bit, and returned to the hotel and were sitting out on the terrace having a beer, when the waiter from the restaurant came up with a couple of drinks for me and my wife. Still didn't make up for the price of the meal though.

Would reccomend it as a great place to stay, but not to eat in.

The little stone hotel between the two rivers......friendly and fantastic! Jan 23, 2009
The sights and sounds at this hotel are amazing. You have beautiful views from your room or the terrace. Also, you have the sound of the rushing river to make sleeping very peaceful. First of all, the hotel manager, Adi, came to pick me up at the bus station, himself. The room I had was very quaint with windows that open to a fantastic view of the crooked bridge and the mountains beyond. My room was of generous size and the bath was clean. There was plentiful hot water. The hotel dirctor, Sami, even allowed me to borrow his laptop for 2 nights so that internet would be convenient. Can you believe that!!! The resteraunt serves up very tasty dishes and the wine is fantastic. Also, Baka, waiter / bartender / information, speaks very good English and was there to take care of any question or need that I had. You couldn't find a moe helpful person, anywhere....I would challenge you! So, to sum up things, If you want to have a peaceful, friendly, and relaxing stay......Kriva Cuprija is the place to stay in Mostar.
