Kri Eco Resort Reviews
Eco diving paradise in Raja Ampat west-Papua Sep 04, 2011
I was looking for a nice place for diving in Indonesia. Some how I ended up on a website about Raja Ampat. A beautiful place in West-Papua, Indonesia. The Island Kri is remote and it takes 2 hours to get there by boat from Sorong (where also the nearest airport is).
Via papua-diving.com I arranged the room, a unlimited diving package and the equipment. Most dive sites are nearby (10-30 minutes by boat), some special take more than hour boat drive. Quality of the sites...amazing. Never seen nicer colorful coral in the all the places I have been (an that are a lot).
The place has 13 rooms in basic bungalows (or huts) and they were building a new one. The bungalows are made of local materials and palm leaves walls. Natural air conditioning through the windows and above the walls. But because there is wind the temperature is ok. There is 24hrs electricity!
You get fresh water in de room every day. The basic bathroom is on the land and has a mandy, but it's surprisingly clean.
The food is prepared in the places restaurant. Because everyone is diving here there is a fixed meal. But that is very tasty and varied (vegetables, chicken and fish).
If you google 'Raja Ampat' of 'Kri eco' then....you have to go to this place! So beware:-)
