Stuck at home after 15 inches of snow fell yesterday and today (March 7-8). Most snow in 30+ years in some areas of Cincinnati and surrounding region.

The southern tip of the American continent. A region of the world that I have always dreamed of exploring - trekking to, through, and between the national parks of southern Patagonia. Taking the "W" at Parque Nacional Torres del Paine in Chile (Mirador de las Torres, Valle del Frances, Glaciar Grey making up the 3 legs of the "W"). Parque Nacional Los Glaciares in Argentina will encompass a Fitz Roy/Cerro Torre trek and a visit to Glaciar Perito Moreno.

A brief trip for the wedding of one of my cousins in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A weekend of extended family activities with those who came to town for the festivities. Apologies in advance to all citizens of Albuquerque for my blog title.

Short little junket up to Maine. Planning on some hiking, kayaking, and just relaxing before getting back to the year end grind. Not as glamorous as the cycling trip in the spring but sometimes you just need some simple downtime.

REI Adventures Cycling Trip. Vienna, AT to Venice, IT (May 17-31, 2006). Biked principally through Austria and Slovenia with short excursions into Hungary and Italy.

For those who read the first journal entry in my Alps to Adriatic Blog there was a reference that on my flight to Europe I was making my first trip through Philadelphia since an attempted trip to Vegas. This is the tale of that trip that went horribly, horribly wrong.
